Hey everyone! Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share with you a super easy hot chocolate recipe that’s perfect for a cozy night in. This recipe makes enough for two people but you can tweak it if you like.
You will need:
-4 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
-3 to 4 tbsp of sugar (depending on how sweet you want it. I used three and a bit.)
-a pinch of salt
-2 cups of milk
-1/4 tsp of vanilla extract (I used a vanilla bean but vanilla extract works fine too)
You’re gonna start by whisking together the cocoa, sugar, salt and about 4 tablespoons of milk in a sauce pan over medium low heat until the sugar and cocoa dissolve. Then whisk in the rest of the milk and keep on medium heat until it is hot, whisking occasionally. Stir in the vanilla and serve!
I also decided to make whipped cream to top it off. Put a metal mixing bowl and beaters in the fridge for about 15 minutes. This will make the whole process way faster! Add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and two tablespoons of sugar. Beat until it forms stiff peaks.
My sister and I bought some peppermint chocolate and watched Christmas movies with this yummy hot chocolate! Be sure to tag me in a picture if you make it! Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend!
