Is it Worth the Buy? Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great Black Friday weekend! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on one of Too Faced’s most popular products.

The Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a medium/deep toned matte bronzer with their famous sweet chocolate scent. I got a deluxe size of this when I bought a little trial set with 5 of their best selling products. You all know that Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite so this one had a lot to compete with. I think the overall tone is nice but for my skin tone it borders on being too warm so you have to be careful when applying it.

I find that it looks really nice blended around the temples, cheeks and jawline to wake up your complexion and you can get get away with a really soft and subtle contour if you’re careful to not apply too much. My one complaint is that I find it tough to blend and since it’s such a deep tone that can be a serious issue. Building it up slowly with a fluffy powder brush seems to be the best way to deal with that.

Overall I think it’s a really nice matte bronzer with a fairly good tone. I think it works well in the summer time for those of us with fair skin and could work all year on deeper skin tones. Let me know your thoughts on the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer if you’ve tried it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

Smashbox Sephora Store Event

Hey everyone! This is a huge time of year for new beauty launches and I have a very busy month ahead of me to bring you guys all the information you need to know. I was recently invited to attend one of Sephora’s Beauty Events to introduce the new Smashbox Colour Correcting Sticks.

I was able to chat with a representative from the brand about how these concealers are different from others on the market right now. Essentially, the wide array of shades available are meant to perfect every skin tone in just a few easy swipes. They’re also infused with Vitamin E so they can blur the look of pores and fine lines while still looking natural. When I had the chance to swatch and try out the products and was really impressed with how well they blended out without feeling greasy.

What is colour correcting? It’s essentially a way to conceal imperfections by using their opposing colour on the colour wheel. Green is used to counteract redness, pink to counteract blue and purple dark circles, and lavender brightens. These are some of the creamiest stick concealers I’ve tried. They are available in four shades to create the most flawless look. You have a lot of control in terms of how much coverage you want as they can be used wet or dry. Overall I think these are really great for anyone looking for flawless skin!

Are you going to introduce colour correcting into your routine? What other beauty launches are you looking forward to?

xx -Rach
