Is it Worth the Buy? Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great Black Friday weekend! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on one of Too Faced’s most popular products.

The Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a medium/deep toned matte bronzer with their famous sweet chocolate scent. I got a deluxe size of this when I bought a little trial set with 5 of their best selling products. You all know that Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite so this one had a lot to compete with. I think the overall tone is nice but for my skin tone it borders on being too warm so you have to be careful when applying it.

I find that it looks really nice blended around the temples, cheeks and jawline to wake up your complexion and you can get get away with a really soft and subtle contour if you’re careful to not apply too much. My one complaint is that I find it tough to blend and since it’s such a deep tone that can be a serious issue. Building it up slowly with a fluffy powder brush seems to be the best way to deal with that.

Overall I think it’s a really nice matte bronzer with a fairly good tone. I think it works well in the summer time for those of us with fair skin and could work all year on deeper skin tones. Let me know your thoughts on the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer if you’ve tried it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

Fall Decorations!

I hope you’ve all had a spooky Halloween! It’s been a crazy busy month for me but I’m finally caught up with school work so I figured I’d share with you all some of the decorations I had up for fall and Halloween. These are super easy and they work great for really small spaces!

I didn’t really like many of the fall decorations I was finding so I figured that I would just pick up some fake leaves and make my own. I got a few that had little wire stems that I twisted together to make sets of three and I also got some tiny loose leaves that I glued to some twine. I put these up all around my room and on my door and they looked super cute! I don’t really have the patience to carve pumpkins so I bought a mini one at a grocery store and took a black sharpie and drew on a jack-o-lantern face. If you want to get more crafty and creative with pumpkins, I’d recommend using fake ones so that you can re-use them. That’ll save you a ton of money and effort!

What kind of decorations did you have for the spooky season? I’m always looking for new ideas! Now on to Christmas decor! Thank you all so much for stopping by!

Spring Skincare with DermaE

Hey friends! Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather! DermaE recently sent me some of their best selling products and I can’t wait to share them with you! DermaE is an all natural skincare brand that believes that skin health can be improved by wholesome nutrients, clean hydration and potent vitamins. They have also focussed on creating an ecologically friendly brand by using 100% wind energy when manufacturing their products and bonus, they’re crueltry free! As someone with extremely sensitive skin, natural skincare is often the way to go.

The Hydrating Day Creme is meant to moisturize and plump skin to reduce the look of fine lines. This product is best suited of normal to dry skin as it provides light weight, long lasting moisture throughout the day thanks to the hyaluronic acid. I loved how quickly this product absorbed into my skin and left it feeling really nice and soft. However, it is not the best match for me as I have combination/oily skin so I gave it to my sister who really enjoyed it. This kind of day creme is especially great around spring and summer when you don’t need a super heavy moisturizer.

The Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Creme is wonderful for those of us who suffer from puffy eyes and dark circles. It is enriched with Pycnogenol which helps to make your eye area appear bright and well rested. It absorbs extremely fast without leaving an oily residue which made it really easy for me to apply my makeup on top of it. The natural ingredients make it feel really gentle around my super sensitive eyes.

The Hydrating Eye Creme is very similar but focusses more on providing deep hydration to reduce fine lines and crows feet. I like to use this one at night so my eyes can get a nice boost of hydration after taking off my makeup. It is still very light and non greasy so if you’re someone with that needs a more hydrating eye creme this would work under makeup as well.

The last product I have to share with you all is the 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask. I’m a big fan of charcoal products as they are really great for giving your skin a nice deep clean and minimizing pores. This mask was my favourite of all of the products that they sent me! It dries really quickly which is great because I feel like I never have enough time to do masks that need to set for a really long time. I also love that this mask changes from a dark gray to a lighter gray once it dries so it’s really easy to know when it’s ready to be rinsed off. But what I love the most about this mask is that when you apply water to it it turns into an awesome exfoliant to really polish and cleanse your skin. And you don’t have to worry about those horrible microbeads because they’re actually apricot seed powder!
