Is it Worth the Buy? Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great Black Friday weekend! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on one of Too Faced’s most popular products.

The Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a medium/deep toned matte bronzer with their famous sweet chocolate scent. I got a deluxe size of this when I bought a little trial set with 5 of their best selling products. You all know that Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite so this one had a lot to compete with. I think the overall tone is nice but for my skin tone it borders on being too warm so you have to be careful when applying it.

I find that it looks really nice blended around the temples, cheeks and jawline to wake up your complexion and you can get get away with a really soft and subtle contour if you’re careful to not apply too much. My one complaint is that I find it tough to blend and since it’s such a deep tone that can be a serious issue. Building it up slowly with a fluffy powder brush seems to be the best way to deal with that.

Overall I think it’s a really nice matte bronzer with a fairly good tone. I think it works well in the summer time for those of us with fair skin and could work all year on deeper skin tones. Let me know your thoughts on the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer if you’ve tried it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

Fall Decorations!

I hope you’ve all had a spooky Halloween! It’s been a crazy busy month for me but I’m finally caught up with school work so I figured I’d share with you all some of the decorations I had up for fall and Halloween. These are super easy and they work great for really small spaces!

I didn’t really like many of the fall decorations I was finding so I figured that I would just pick up some fake leaves and make my own. I got a few that had little wire stems that I twisted together to make sets of three and I also got some tiny loose leaves that I glued to some twine. I put these up all around my room and on my door and they looked super cute! I don’t really have the patience to carve pumpkins so I bought a mini one at a grocery store and took a black sharpie and drew on a jack-o-lantern face. If you want to get more crafty and creative with pumpkins, I’d recommend using fake ones so that you can re-use them. That’ll save you a ton of money and effort!

What kind of decorations did you have for the spooky season? I’m always looking for new ideas! Now on to Christmas decor! Thank you all so much for stopping by!

Product Fave: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

Hey friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! This is the first post of a new series that I’ll be doing called Product Faves. Instead of doing a giant monthly favourites I’ll be sharing the products that I really love and have been using often so that you can all see what I feel are the best of the best.

I have heard nothing but great things about the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer so I figured that I had to try it. It took me a while to track it down though because every store was always out of my shade. I finally found one at Rexall a few weeks ago and have been putting it to the test ever since. I have the shade Fair which is the lightest of six shades that they offer.

This concealer has a super creamy formula which blends out beautifully under the eyes and covers any blemishes on the face. I’ve tried it with a brush, a beauty blender and my fingers and I find that blending it out with your ring finger tends to work best. The coverage is extremely buildable and offers you a lot of control in terms of how you want it to look. You can even use it for contouring and highlighting. 🙂 The only problem that I see is the shade range. They offer a very light shade which is great for my fair skin but they don’t offer much for those with deeper skin tones.

This is the best drugstore concealer I’ve tried so far! Do you love it as much as I do? Also, let me know what you think of this new series! Have an awesome week!
