Is it Worth the Buy? Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great Black Friday weekend! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on one of Too Faced’s most popular products.

The Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a medium/deep toned matte bronzer with their famous sweet chocolate scent. I got a deluxe size of this when I bought a little trial set with 5 of their best selling products. You all know that Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite so this one had a lot to compete with. I think the overall tone is nice but for my skin tone it borders on being too warm so you have to be careful when applying it.

I find that it looks really nice blended around the temples, cheeks and jawline to wake up your complexion and you can get get away with a really soft and subtle contour if you’re careful to not apply too much. My one complaint is that I find it tough to blend and since it’s such a deep tone that can be a serious issue. Building it up slowly with a fluffy powder brush seems to be the best way to deal with that.

Overall I think it’s a really nice matte bronzer with a fairly good tone. I think it works well in the summer time for those of us with fair skin and could work all year on deeper skin tones. Let me know your thoughts on the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer if you’ve tried it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

Fall Decorations!

I hope you’ve all had a spooky Halloween! It’s been a crazy busy month for me but I’m finally caught up with school work so I figured I’d share with you all some of the decorations I had up for fall and Halloween. These are super easy and they work great for really small spaces!

I didn’t really like many of the fall decorations I was finding so I figured that I would just pick up some fake leaves and make my own. I got a few that had little wire stems that I twisted together to make sets of three and I also got some tiny loose leaves that I glued to some twine. I put these up all around my room and on my door and they looked super cute! I don’t really have the patience to carve pumpkins so I bought a mini one at a grocery store and took a black sharpie and drew on a jack-o-lantern face. If you want to get more crafty and creative with pumpkins, I’d recommend using fake ones so that you can re-use them. That’ll save you a ton of money and effort!

What kind of decorations did you have for the spooky season? I’m always looking for new ideas! Now on to Christmas decor! Thank you all so much for stopping by!

Fashion Feature: Tom’s Strappy Wedges

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all had a great weekend! I love wearing heels because they’re a great way to complete an outfit and make you feel instantly put together. But during the summer months I tend to do a lot of walking around while shopping or just enjoying the nice weather, which can make my feet hurt a lot. I have finally found an awesome pair of wedges that are super cute while still being comfy!

I was browsing at Nordstrom with my sister one day and these guys caught my eye. They’re by Tom’s who are known for making really comfortable shoes as a part of their iconic donation plan. They were on sale for only $65 from an original $120 which is absolutely amazing!

The sole is a lightly padded cotton that really helps cushion your feet when you’ve been standing for a while. They are truly the easiest pair of shoes that I own–they go with everything, and no matter where I’m going I know that they will go with my outfit. They’ve quickly become a staple in my summer wardrobe!

What are your favourite comfy summer shoes? I’m a shoe addict so I’d love to hear about them! Please let me know what you would like to see for future Fashion Features and have an awesome day!
