Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great Black Friday weekend! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on one of Too Faced’s most popular products.
The Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a medium/deep toned matte bronzer with their famous sweet chocolate scent. I got a deluxe size of this when I bought a little trial set with 5 of their best selling products. You all know that Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite so this one had a lot to compete with. I think the overall tone is nice but for my skin tone it borders on being too warm so you have to be careful when applying it.
I find that it looks really nice blended around the temples, cheeks and jawline to wake up your complexion and you can get get away with a really soft and subtle contour if you’re careful to not apply too much. My one complaint is that I find it tough to blend and since it’s such a deep tone that can be a serious issue. Building it up slowly with a fluffy powder brush seems to be the best way to deal with that.
Overall I think it’s a really nice matte bronzer with a fairly good tone. I think it works well in the summer time for those of us with fair skin and could work all year on deeper skin tones. Let me know your thoughts on the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer if you’ve tried it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday.
Hi everyone! It is officially time to start breaking out the sweaters and cozy scarfs since the weather is getting chilly. Today I thought I’d share with you a makeup look that I wore the other day that featured a bunch of my favourite tones for this time of year! More info on all the products is at the end!
I love the look of bronzy eyeshadows and the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush is incredible. For a quick look on busy days I’ll throw a medium brown in the crease and apply this gorgeous rose gold shade on my lids. I have combination/oily skin which gets more dry around this time of year so I like to add a more glowy highlight. The illuminator in Flush from the Grand Palais palette by Too Faced gives a lovely champagne/gold glow. Most of the time I like to wear red and berry tones, but I figured I’d change it up a bit and go for a more muted deep nude. Mac’s lip pencil in Whirl is a gorgeous shade–these are super pricey though and I’m actually not a huge fan of the formula. I’d recommend the Exaggerate Lip Liners by Rimmel over these.
What kind of makeup have you been wearing lately? All the info on the products I’ve used is down below! Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
I hope you’ve all had a spooky Halloween! It’s been a crazy busy month for me but I’m finally caught up with school work so I figured I’d share with you all some of the decorations I had up for fall and Halloween. These are super easy and they work great for really small spaces!
I didn’t really like many of the fall decorations I was finding so I figured that I would just pick up some fake leaves and make my own. I got a few that had little wire stems that I twisted together to make sets of three and I also got some tiny loose leaves that I glued to some twine. I put these up all around my room and on my door and they looked super cute! I don’t really have the patience to carve pumpkins so I bought a mini one at a grocery store and took a black sharpie and drew on a jack-o-lantern face. If you want to get more crafty and creative with pumpkins, I’d recommend using fake ones so that you can re-use them. That’ll save you a ton of money and effort!
What kind of decorations did you have for the spooky season? I’m always looking for new ideas! Now on to Christmas decor! Thank you all so much for stopping by!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you’ve all been doing well and that you had a great weekend! Since the new school year has started, many of us are on the go a lot so it’s important to make sure that you have all of the personal care items you’ll need with you.
I find it easiest to keep everything I know I’ll need in this little makeup bag from Sephora. This way, if you want to switch out your purse, all you have to do is grab this bag and you won’t have to worry about forgetting anything. I always recommend keeping bandaids and hand sanitizer with you. I get blisters all the time and have finally learned that it’s best to just always have several bandaids with you. And hand sanitizer is just a necessity for when you’re on the go–once you start carrying it you’ll be surprised at how often it comes in handy!
Since I usually end up leaving in a rush, I like to keep some products for the finishing touches of my routine. White eyeliner is my go-to for looking well rested so I always keep one with me for touch ups. I also often end up throwing whatever lipstick I’ll wear that day in here, so I keep this universal lipliner since it will keep any shade of lipstick from feathering outside the lines.
As I mentioned, I’ll change out my lip product everyday, but the only lippies that I consistently take with me are my Burts Bees lip balm and a Toyshop Sheer Lip in Applause. For more natural days, this lipstick gives a super nice pink colour that wakes up the face. Any nice tinted lip balm will do the trick! Lastly I keep some Duo Lash Glue since you never know when the inner corner of your lashes are gonna start popping off!
What do you keep in your on-the-go makeup bag? Thank you all so much for stopping by and I’ll see you soon!

Hey everyone! Today I thought I’d bring you a makeup tutorial that is fairly neutral for the eyes but features a fun red lip. Feel free to change around the products that I’m using for whatever you have on hand.
Start off doing your normal face routine, I know this differs for everyone so I won’t give too much detail. I used Revlon’s Colour Stay Foundation for combination/oily skin in Buff, the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer in Radiant and set it all with Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder. Next I used Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer to contour my face, Clinique’s blush in Precious Posy and Mac’s Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper of Guilt. Let me know if you would like a full in depth tutorial on my everyday face routine!
Moving right along to eyes, start off with your favourite primer, mine is Urban Decay’s Primer Potion, and prime your eyelids. This will make the eyeshadows last longer and be much more pigmented. Then apply a matte shadow that is similar to your skin tone all over the lid up to the brow bone. Having a base shadow makes it much easier to blend the rest of the colours.
With a fluffy brush, use the same bronzer we used before and blend this into the crease. This is going to tie in the contouring that we did on our face to create a very natural shadow. Blend a dark brown into the outer corner, I used Busted by Urban Decay. Then blend everything together with a matte taupe, I used Tease by Urban Decay, and apply a shimmery colour onto the lids.
Line your eyes using whatever black eyeliner you like best. I went with the Nars Larger Than Life eyeliner in Via Veneto and blended it out with a liner brush. Apply your favourite mascara and if you want to amp it up add false lashes! I used Maybelline’s The Falsies waterproof and then Benefit’s Rollerlash.
I didn’t want for this to be a true red lip so I blended my Nars Velvet Lip Crayon in Cruella into my lips with my finger for a very subtle red tint. Then I layered Clinique’s lipstick in Raspberry Glace on top, and that’s it!
I think this is a really simple look to create and as I said before, you can use whatever products you have on hand. This is so classic and will look great for any holiday party! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
